Monday night on Y99.3 Sumner-Fredericksburg and Columbus split a doubleheader. The Cougar girls won 57-20 as Sydney Zupke netted 20 points. In the boys game Columbus won 74-56 behind Eli Evan’s 26 points and Amani Robinson’s 22 points.
A pair of boys basketball teams are in the first official rankings of the season. In Class 2A Denver is ranked 6th and in 1A Wapsie Valley is ranked 2nd.
