A crash on Highway 218 in Bremer County Thursday afternoon sent one person to the hospital. The accident happened just after 1:30 in the southbound lanes on 218 near mile marker 212. 60 year old Penny Hall of Shellsburg fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the vehicle, rolling into the median, according to the Iowa State Patrol. Hall was rushed to the Waverly Health Center by ambulance. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
