One Maynard man was killed and another was severely injured in a single vehicle accident north of Oelwein early Friday morning. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene around 1am. When they arrived on scene they found that the 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty truck had been traveling north when it left the roadway, entered a ditch, and rolled multiple times. Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle. They were rushed to the Oelwein Hospital but the driver, 21 year old Cooper Ingels, was pronounced dead there. The passenger, 23 year old Adam Michels, has since been transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for further treatment of life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
