Wednesday night on KWAY Country the Denver Cyclones pulled a shocker and swept Western Christian 25-22, 25-22, 25-20. Denver’s win keeps Western Christian out of the 2A Championship Match for the first time since 2009.
Denver will play fellow North Iowa Cedar League team Dike-New Hartford Thursday night for a championship. KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3 will have the coverage with pre-match at 5:10 and first serve at 5:30.
The other State Volleyball Championship Matches are set as well. In Class 5A Iowa City Liberty will battle Ankeny, in Class 4A Xavier will face West Delaware, in Class 3A Osage will play Mt. Vernon, and in Class 1A Gladbrook-Reinbeck faces Burlington Notre Dame.
