The voice of the Iowa Hawkeyes has been suspended two games following a hot mic incident. Gary Dolphin sent action to commercial and thought he was off the air but the engineer for Learfield Sports in Jefferson City, Missouri didn’t turn the commercial on and Gary and Bobby Hansen’s mics off. Gary was heard on the air criticizing Iowa’s recruiting efforts and the play of an Iowa guard. This is Dolphin’s 22nd year on the mic for Hawkeye sports and he has apologized saying his passion for the Hawks overcame him.
