University of Northern Iowa senior linebacker Jared Farley has been named a STATS Preseason All-American. Farley was one of 17 Missouri Valley Football Conference players selected to the All-America teams. Farley garnered a team-high 80 tackles in 2016 and was named to the all-MVFC second team. The Panthers will open the 2017 season Sept. 2 at Iowa State.
