We’ve learned the names of the people involved in a fatal crash in Floyd County Monday.
According to the Iowa State Patrol. Zachary Gueller, 21, of Mason City was driving a minivan on Highway 218 near 260th Street when the van got a flat tire. Gueller pulled onto the shoulder and got out of the van to fix the tire.
The Iowa State Patrol says a truck driven by Loren Musch, 28, of Clinton went onto the shoulder, hitting Gueller and the van. Due to damage northbound Highway 218 was shutdown between Nashua and Charles City.
Gueller died.
Three other people had to be taken to the hospital: Kennika Gueller, 22, and an infant, Serina Gueller, are both from Mason City. A third person, Courtney Swessinger, 22, of Des Moines was also taken to the hospital.
