Fire Department Urges More Alert Driving

The Waverly Fire Department is encouraging citizens to be more cautious and alert. They say they were dispatched to a grass fire on the east side of town on Monday and noticed several vehicles failing to yield to emergency vehicles. They say they also observed many drivers distracted by their phones and not paying attention to the situation that was unfolding. They finished their post by saying every second counts during an emergency and they need everyone’s attention and cooperation to help save lives.
