Bremer County Sheriff Dan Pickett reports that an 18-year-old was involved in a fireworks accident at a rural Waverly home on Saturday night before 11:30 p.m. Sheriff Pickett says a group of friends were shooting off fireworks when the teen was injured. The teen’s name is not being released as the investigation continues.
Pitckett’s original press release said the teen had died and then a later release changed his condition to unknown.
