The Iowa High School Athletic Association has announced a major change to football. Prep football will now have an additional class for the largest schools in the state. Class 5A will join 4A, 3A, 2A, 1A, A and 8-man. Classes 5A, 4A and 3A will have 36 teams, 2A and 1A 48 teams, A the remainder of the 11-man teams.
