Football, Soccer and the Hall of Fame

The Wartburg football team is ranked in the D3football.com Preseason Top 25. Wartburg is ranked 18th while fellow American Rivers Conference school Central is ranked 14th. Mary Hardin-Baylor of Texas is ranked first. The Knights will kickoff the 2021 season on September 4th at 7:00 at home. KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3 will cover the Wartburg all season long.

The American Rivers Conference 2021 Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll has Wartburg totaling 38 points and picked to finish fifth in the league standings.  The University of Dubuque was selected to finish first this season as they totaled 62 points, including six first-place votes.

The Wartburg College Athletics Hall of Fame Committee has announced the class of 2021 inductees – Akeya Aimable (women’s track & field, volleyball), Justin Beatty (football), Blake Gillis (wrestling), Wil Kelly (wrestling) Molly (Eslick) Kremer (women’s tennis), Ryan Moorman (baseball), Jacob Naig (wrestling), Monica Severson (coach/administrator), and Nick Weber (football).
