The Wartburg football team is ranked in the D3football.com Preseason Top 25. Wartburg is ranked 18th while fellow American Rivers Conference school Central is ranked 14th. The American Rivers Conference 2021 Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll has Wartburg totaling 38 points and picked to finish fifth in the league standings. The University of Dubuque was selected to finish first this season as they totaled 62 points, including six first-place votes.
