Thursday the Waverly-Shell Rock football team bowed out in the Class 4A State Semifinals in the UNI-Dome as Lewis Central won 35-10. The game was tied 7-7 at halftime before the Titans exploded offensively and shut down the Go-Hawk’s offense in the second half.
The Go-Hawks went from 4-4 a season ago to 10-2 and reaching the semifinals for the first time since 1992 this year.
