A Charles City man has been arrested for allegedly forging 10 checks worth nearly $17,000, according to KIMT. 41 year old Ryan Vaughn is accused of forging the signature of a 66 year old and then cashing those checks at two banks. Court documents say that the banks that cashed the checks lost nearly $13,000. Police say Vaughn deposited the cash into his own bank account. He has been charged with 10 counts of Forgery, first degree Theft, Ongoing Criminal Conduct, and fifth degree Theft Against an Older Individual.
