Tuesday night on Y99.3 the Waverly-Shell Rock girls basketball team lost to Mason City 58-41. With the loss the Go-Hawk’s season is over with 16 wins and the Mason City Mohawks advance to next week’s State Tournament.
Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock boys basketball team demolished Humbolt 74-44 in the first round of Sub-State. Luke Velky led the Go-Hawks with 18 points. Waverly-Shell Rock next plays Thursday versus Crestwood who beat Clear Lake 87-83 in double overtime.
