Wednesday on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock girls soccer team qualified for their third consecutive State Championship Match. The Go-Hawks beat Spencer 5-1 after trailing 1-0. Kenzie Roling netted a hat trick while Morgan Aikey and Anna Stromberg also scored for the Go-Hawks.
Waverly-Shell Rock will play Dallas Center-Grimes Friday on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3 at 12:15 for a Class 2A State Championship. The Go-Hawks have played in 4 previous championship matches in 2006, 2014, 2018 and 2019 but have not yet won a soccer title.
