The Girls State Tournament continued Thursday with Semi-Finals for Class 1A, 2A and 3A. In Class 1A Springville beat Kingsley-Pierson 61-43 and Turkey Valley edged Exira/Elk Horn-Kimbalton 48-44 in overtime to set up a rematch of last year’s title game. In Class 2A Western Christian beat Iowa City Regina 71-49 and Treynor edged Cascade 43-41 to reach the championship game. And in Class 3A Sioux Center topped Cherokee 81-56 and Pocahontas Area beat Center Point-Urbana 80-59 to set up the title game.
Class 4A and 5A semi-finals and Class 1A and 2A Championship Games are Friday in Des Moines.
