The first girls basketball rankings of the season have been released. Waverly-Shell Rock is ranked 9th in Class 4A. The Go-Hawks will open the season Friday at 7:00 on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3 as they play at Fort Dodge.
In the other classes Dunkerton is 7th in Class 1A, Denver is 3rd in Class 2A and Cedar Falls is 13th in 5A.
