Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock girls basketball team won their 20th game in a row and punched their ticket to State as they beat Cedar Rapids Xavier 43-26.
The Go-Hawks are going to State for the 5th time and in back-to-back years for the first time in school history. Waverly-Shell Rock is the 5-seed at State and will play Center Point-Urbana at 1:30 on Tuesday. CP-U is one of only two teams that defeated the Go-Hawks this season. We will have the coverage on KWAY Country with an hour long pregame show.
Tuesday night Cedar Falls and Waterloo West also punched tickets to State. They will play each other at 3:30 on Monday.
