Go-Hawks Split with Decorah

Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock baseball team split a doubleheader on the road with Decorah. The Go-Hawks edged the Vikings 3-2 in Game One despite banging out 14 hits and stranding 16 base runners. Noah Jeppesen got the winning hit for the Go-Hawks.

In Game Two the Go-Hawks took a 3 run lead in the top of the first inning behind a Jeremy Chaplin 2-run home run but Decorah stormed back to win 13-6.

With the loss the Go-Hawks fell a half game behind New Hampton in the conference race.
