Thursday night on Y99.3 the #1 Denver girls soccer team outlasted the Solon Spartans 1-0 in overtime to punch their ticket to State. The match was scoreless through regulation and one half of overtime. With 44 seconds left in the second overtime period Elise Ricketts struck gold and found the back of the net.
There is still one Regional Final that hasn’t been played so the Cyclones don’t yet know who they’ll face on Monday in Ames.
