The City of Waverly has become the second city in the area after Denver to remind their citizens to keep grass clippings out of the street. The City of Waverly says grass clippings can wash into storm drains and contribute to clogged drainage systems and localized flooding. They say they can also create hazards for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists. Waverly citizens are encouraged to visit the yard waste facility section on the town website for resources on how to properly remove yard waste.
