After one day of the Traditional State Wrestling Tournament the area teams are excelling. In Class 3A Waverly-Shell Rock leads with 31.5 points which is 6.5 more than 2nd place Southeast Polk. The Go-Hawks had 10 of their 11 boys advance to the quarterfinals.
In Class 1A Don Bosco narrowly is in 1st place with 31 points while Denver is nipping at their heels with 29.5 points.
The State Tournament resumes Friday on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3.
