Sunday the Wartburg women’s golf team tied for third in the 13-team field at the DIII Classic with a two-round score of 638. The Knights tied with UW-Stout on the team leaderboard. This was the best finish at this event for the program since it took second in September of 2009.
Carleton won the team title with its 604 and Madison McCambridge of UW-Stout was the individual medalist with her 143. Wartburg senior Brooke Klostermann was the top finisher for the Orange and Black as she placed fifth with a 150.
Sunday in women’s soccer the Wartburg College Knights defended their home field with a 1-0 victory against the 24th ranked Carleton College Knights, giving Wartburg their first win over a ranked opponent since Sept. 9, 2012.
Sunday in men’s soccer Wartburg wrapped up their weekend road trip through Missouri with a 1-0 victory over the Blue Jays of Westminster College, improving the Knights record to 2-4 and dropping the Blue Jays to 1-4.
