Black Hawk County Officials say that hospital admissions for COVID-19 are plateauing but it is too early to say if the county is out of the surge of cases, according to KWWL. There are currently 75 people hospitalized in Black Hawk County with virus and more than 500 have recovered. Both hospitals are preparing to begin elective surgeries again. New data has also shown who was affected. 21% of the counties cases and 10% of the Asian population in the county had the virus. 7% of the Hispanic population in the county and 3% of the African American population had the virus. Meanwhile, less than 1% of the white population has been affected.
