Wednesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock boys soccer team upset 16th ranked Decorah on the road 2-1. Noah Campbell and Dylan Eggleston scored for the Go-Hawks. Keeper John Steffen made a save with one second left to preserve the win over the Vikings.
The Go-Hawks have now advanced to the Sub-State Championship where they will play 8th ranked Hudson United on Saturday at noon in Hudson. The winner of that game goes to the State Tournament in Des Moines.
Also Wednesday night on senior night the Go-Hawk girls soccer team crushed Hudson-Dike New Hartford 8-0. Kenzie Roling and Hailee Kent each had a hat trick for Waverly-Shell Rock.
