Thursday night in the NBA the Toronto Raptors captured their first title as they beat Golden State 114-110. Toronto coach Nick Nurse is a Carroll native, UNI alum and first year head coach. Kawhi Leonard was named the Finals MVP as the Raptors became the first Canadian team to win a major championship since the 1993 Toronto Blue Jays won the World Series.
