Monday on Y99.3 the Iowa Hawkeye men saw their season come to a close as 7-seeded Oregon upset them 95-80. Luka Garza tied a 65 year old school record for most points in an NCAA Tournament game with 36. Iowa finishes the season 22-9 and a win shy of the Sweet Sixteen.
The Sweet Sixteen is set and plenty of Cinderella’s are still dancing. Saturday 12-seed Oregon State will play 8-seed Loyola Chicago, 5-seed Villanova will face 1-seed Baylor, 15-seed Oral Roberts will play 3-seed Arkansas and 11-seed Syracuse will face 2-seed Houston. Sunday 5-seeded Creighton will face 1-seeded Gonzaga, 4-seed Florida State will play 1-seed Michigan, 11-seed UCLA will face 2-seed Alabama and 7-seed Oregon will play 6-seed USC.
