Iowa Water Quality

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ annual report on state water systems shows there were no diseases or deaths caused by the water in the state’s 1,800 plus public water systems, citing that only 10 that had violations throughout the entire year.

Diane Moles, the Executive Director of the DNR’s Water Supply Engineering Section comments on the overall quality of the state’s public water maintenance:

Moles says Iowa residents can get a better idea of how their local water supply is doing by looking at their town’s annual consumer confidence reports which are posted every year on July 1st on the EPA website.
