Iowans will have some rooting interest in the WNBA. Iowa Hawkeye Monika Czinano was selected 26th by the Los Angeles Sparks while Iowa State’s Ashley Joens was taken with the 19th pick by the Dallas Wings and Stephanie Soares was taken 4th overall by the Washington Mystics before being traded to Dallas.
