A juvenile was taken to the MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center Thursday night after being struck by a gunshot, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police were called to the 700 block of Grant Avenue around 7:35. They found one casing at the scene. The circumstances of the shooting remain a mystery but police do not believe the juvenile was the intended target. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening. No arrests have been made to this point.
