The American Rivers Conference released the 2021 Football Preseason Coaches’ Poll on Friday, Aug. 20, with Wartburg selected to finish second in the league standings.
The Knights received 56 points, including one first-place vote while Central College paced the league with 64 points and eight first-place tallies. The University of Dubuque rounded out the top three with 47 points.
The Knights received a national ranking of 18 in the d3football.com preseason poll while No. 14 Central joined Wartburg as the only other A-R-C member in the poll.
