Earning his second Defensive Player of the Week honor, Wartburg linebacker Antonio Santillan was named Defensive Player and Male Athlete of the Week from the American Rivers Conference. Santillan had 10 tackles, 1 force fumble, 1 fumble recovery and an interception in the 50-14 win over Nebraska Wesleyan.

With their comeback win over Coe on Saturday in the American Rivers Conference tournament, Wartburg’s Katie Foster and Kylie Bildstein earned Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week from the A-R-C.

The 2021 NCAA Division III Volleyball bracket is set and the 4th ranked Wartburg College Knights will serve as one of eight regional hosts.

This will be the first time the Knights have hosted a volleyball regional inside Levick Arena.

The Knights, who sit at 27-0 overall, won the American Rivers Conference regular season and tournament championship. The Knights defeated Coe in a five-set battle on Saturday to claim the league’s automatic qualifier to the tournament. This is the Knights ninth tournament title and 12th NCAA tournament appearance.

The Knights will welcome Cornell College of Mt Vernon, Iowa, Ohio Northern, Colorado College, Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Bethel of Minnesota, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps of California, and Aurora of Illinois to Levick Arena this Friday through Sunday.

The teams will play in a single-elimination regional with the regional champion advancing to the national championship, November 18-20 in St. Louis.

Wartburg women’s soccer is headed to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the fourth straight time and the ninth time in program history after securing an at-large bid.

Wartburg is set to face Wisconsin-La Crosse in the first round on Saturday with kickoff time to be determined. This will be a rematch of a non-conference match from September where Wisconsin-La Crosse Eagles came away with a 1-0 victory at Salzwedel Field.
