Limiting Crickets

 

The familiar chirp of the House Cricket (Acheta Domestica), is a summertime staple. But these harmless insects can quickly become a noisy nuisance if allowed to travel indoors.

Laura Iles the Director of the Plant and Insect Diagnostic Clinic at Iowa State University shares some ways to cut down the number these pests:

Iles says that cricket numbers start to peak around late Summer to early Fall and won’t die down until the first frost of the season.
