The Little Brown Church in Nashua is undergoing some renovation, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Work began last week to restore the church to its original condition. Walls will be re-plastered and woodwork and pews will be treated in order to preserve them without damaging their patina. The roof of the popular wedding venue will also be replaced later in the year. The church, which was popularized in the song “The Church in the Wildwood”, has not been significantly renovated in several decades. The work is being paid for by the congregation but donations are being accepted at littlebrownchurch.org.
