Local Businesses say “Thank You” to Veterans

A number of local businesses are offering free or discounted services to active duty service members and military veterans as a way to say thank you for your service.

Here’s a list of where you can find deals on Veteran’s Day this year.

Applebee’s – In honor of their services, veterans and active duty military get a free meal.

Famous Dave’s – On Veterans Day, all military members can create a Two Meat BBQ Salute with proof of service.

Olive Garden – Current and former service members can choose a free meal from a select menu. Valid for dine in only; proof of service required.

Denny’s – Active, inactive, and retired military personnel can build a free Grand Slam from 5 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Hy-Vee – On Veterans Day, veterans and active duty military members can start their day with a free breakfast buffet. To celebrate the occasion, many locations will host entertainment and other activities.

IHOP – In honor of the holiday, veterans and active duty members get a stack of Red, White and Blue pancakes. Proof of service required.

Texas Roadhouse – Veterans and active duty members can dig into a free lunch on the holiday.

Village Inn – All day long, vets and current service members can feast pick out a free breakfast with military I.D.

Great Clips – Veterans can get a free haircut card. All customers who purchase a salon service may take home a haircut card to give to a veteran. The card is valid from November 12 – December 31.

Walgreens – This Veterans Day, customers with Walgreens Balance Rewards cards and valid military I.D. can take 20% off all eligible purchases
