The Bremer County Sheriff’s office is looking for volunteers to help continue the search for 76-year-old Cloris Mehmen of Plainfield. Mehmen went missing sometime between 7am and noon on Tuesday. On Wednesday, crews and volunteers searched a number of routes Mehmen could have taken on her walk. First responder used ATVs and horses search farmland and ditches.
Volunteers can meet at the Plainfield fire department at 8:00 a.m. Thursday.
Mehmen was last seen wearing blue jeans and a men’s short sleeve shirt. She suffers from dementia and Alzheimer’s. Anyone with information should call the Bremer County Sheriffs office at 319-352-5400 extension 3.
