After Day One of State Girls Golf a couple local girls are in the running for a State Championship. In Class 3A Mady Mummelthei of Waverly-Shell Rock is 3-over par and 6 shots behind the lead. In Class 2A Chloe Bolte of Sumner-Fredericksburg shot even par and is tied with Grace Lewis of Oelwein for the lead.
The State Tournament concludes on Friday.
