Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock basketball teams swept Cedar Rapids Jefferson on the road. In the girls game the Go-Hawks jumped out to a 24-3 1st quarter lead and won 59-40 as Lizzy Frazell led all scorers with 27 points.
In the boys game the Go-Hawks won 68-45 as Luke Frazell had an historic night. Frazell tied his own school record with 8 made 3’s and he scored a school-record 44 points besting Fred Grawe’s 43 points in the 1966-67 season.
