New Hampton presented a resolution to the Northeast Iowa Conference constitution at the Executive Board meeting. The resolution called for Waverly-Shell Rock to be removed from the league. It passed with an overwhelming 5-1 vote with only W-SR saying nay. It will need to be voted on one more time to go into effect. If it does, it would take effect at the end of the 2022-23 school year.
The five schools remaining would need to recruit at least one more to keep the conference solvent if Waverly-Shell Rock leaves.
