The Northeast Iowa Conference continues to teeter. According to reporter Jeff Linder, New Hampton is seriously considering leaving for the Upper Iowa Conference. According to reporter Darin Svenson, the Charles City School Board voted unanimously to send a letter of inquiry to the North Central Conference. This is not a letter asking for inclusion but it is formally gauging interest. The school feels it needs to with Waverly-Shell Rock being forced out of the Northeast Iowa Conference and Crestwood asking to join the Upper Iowa Conference.
The Upper Iowa Conference superintendents will meet on February 6th to act on Crestwood’s request to join that league.
