Retirement didn’t even cause Jay Cutler to miss a single game. Cutler, the former Bears quarterback, retired at the end of last season and was hired by FOX Sports as an NFL analyst. However, the lure of a starting quarterback job has pulled Cutler back into the league. The Miami Dolphins lost their starter Ryan Tannehill to injury and reached out to Cutler. Cutler and the Dolphins have agreed to a 1-year $10-million contract that will reunite him with offensive coordinator Adam Gase.
For the second year in a row Atlanta Falcons cornerback Jalen Collins has been suspended for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing substance policy. Collins faced a 4-game suspension last year and will miss the first 10 games of this season.
