No Surge Expected at WHC

Social distancing guidelines have been used to flatten the curve and keep hospitals from being overrun with COVID-19 patients.

Waverly Health Center Chief Operating Officer Heidi Solheim says the hospital isn’t expecting a surge.

The hospital is starting to do some elective surgeries but only ones that take fewer than two hours.

Solheim shares when longer surgeries could happen again.

Though the Waverly Health Center isn’t expecting a surge and more counties will soon be reopening that this does not mean that we’re out of the woods. Solheim says even when things open up we should remain vigilant.
