On to State

Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock girls punched a ticket to State. The Go-Hawks beat the 9th ranked Ballard Bombers 48-37. The Go-Hawks trailed after the first quarter before taking the lead. Their lead shrunk to three until just before the end of the 3rd quarter when Camryn Grawe hit a deep shot to break the will of the Bombers and increase the lead back to six.

The Go-Hawks will be the 5-seed and will play 4-seeded Mason City in a rematch of the first game of the year when the Mohawks beat the Go-Hawks. Pregame starts Tuesday at 12:30 with tip-off at 1:30.
