The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced UNI’s Austin Phyfe has made the NABC Division I Second Team All-District team. Phyfe, who was named a Third Team All-MVC performer, is named to a NABC All-District Team for the second time in his career, earning first team honors after the 2019-20 season. Phyfe averaged 12.4 points per game and hauled in 7.3 rebounds per game in 25 games. The redshirt junior played 27.1 minutes per game, making a team high 57.7% of his field goal attempts.
Former Panther and current Drake head coach Darian DeVries was named the NABC District 16 Coach of the Year.
