Tuesday night on Y99.3 Denver and Wapsie Valley split a doubleheader. The 7th ranked Denver girls ran by Wapsie Valley 64-16. In the boys game 6th ranked Wapsie Valley upset 3rd ranked Denver 75-61 to give the Cyclones their first loss of the year.
Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock girls defeated Waukon 49-44 to remain unbeaten in the Northeast Iowa Conference. Macy Smith had a late steal to seal the win.
The Waverly-Shell Rock boys had a dominate performance last night in the Bock Gym beating Oelwein 91-32 to also remain unbeaten in the conference.
In other boys basketball: Janesville edged Meskwaki 43-41, Aplington-Parkersburg beat Columbus 75-43, Cedar Falls crushed Prairie 84-48, Sumner-Fredericksburg beat Hudson 49-40, Tripoli topped Colo-Nesco 49-43 and Waterloo West beat Waterloo East 68-49.
In other girls basketball: Aplington-Parkersburg topped Columbus 45-39, Cedar Falls beat Prairie 52-38, North Tama edged Don Bosco 39-37, Sumner-Fredericksburg clipped Hudson 56-54, Riceville beat Nashua-Plainfield 55-43, West Fork defeated North Butler 58-34, Colo-Nesco beat Tripoli 61-39 and Waterloo West hammered Waterloo East 67-26.
