Monday night on Y99.3 Gladbrook-Reinbeck swept Dunkerton. The Rebels won the girls game 50-27. In the boys game the Rebels went up more than 20 points before the Raiders pulled within a bucket. In the end Gladbrook-Reinbeck won 62-60.
Monday night on KWAY Country Denver swept Wapsie Valley. The Denver girls hit 10 3’s and beat Wapsie Valley 55-42 led by Sarah Steege’s 18 points. In the boys game the Cyclones beat the Warriors 72-60. Bryce Phelps scored 22 for Denver and Paul Rundquist had 25 for the Warriors.
Monday night in area boys basketball: Grundy Center beat Union 59-51, AGWSR edged Clarksville 58-56, Sumner-Fredericksburg topped Hudson 56-43, Aplington-Parkesburg hammered Columbus 73-41 and Dike-New Hartfort beat Jesup 67-55.
In girls hoops: Aplington-Parkersburg beat Columbus 72-41, Sumner-Fredericksburg got by Hudson 34-29. Dike-New Hartford topped Jesup 59-40 and AGWSR beat Clarksvill 50-43.
