Tuesday night on Y99.3 Janesville and Don Bosco split a basketball doubleheader. In the girls’ game Janesville won easily 55-18 with Alisa Bengen leading the way with 12 points for the Wildcats. In the boys’ game Don Bosco won a back and forth game 68-65. Jack Kelley scored 30 points for the Dons and Caden Conrad had 22 for the Wildcats in the loss.
Tuesday night in other boys basketball: Waterloo West defeated Xavier 63-59, Mason City Newman beat Nashua-Plainfield 78-72, Central Springs edged North Butler 48-44, Tripoli clipped Waterloo Christian 51-49, Clarksville crushed Riceville 59-27, Iowa City West beat Waterloo East 74-61 and Cedar Falls topped Iowa City Liberty 58-50.
In area girls basketball: Mason City Newman ran by Nashua-Plainfield 69-21, North Butler beat Central Springs 43-34, Xavier topped Waterloo West 58-39, Iowa City West creamed Waterloo East 79-32, Cedar Falls crushed Iowa City Liberty 70-37, Tripoli cruised by Waterloo Christian 56-17 and Clarksville topped Riceville 59-27.
