Tuesday night on KWAY Country Waverly-Shell Rock stayed undefeated as the Go-Hawks beat Charles City 50-34. Keaton Farmer led all scorers with 21 points. The Go-Hawk girls also beat Charles City 59-18 to beat the Comets for the 23rd time in a row.
Tuesday night on Y99.3 Denver swept Sumner-Fredericksburg. The Cyclone girls won 54-29. The Denver boys won 66-48 and Bryce Phelps eclipsed 1,000 career points in the victory.
In other boys basketball Tuesday night: Aplington-Parkersburg defeated Wapsie Valley 71-48, Cedar Falls topped Jefferson 86-55, Baxter beat Don Bosco 53-41, Janesville hammered Riceville 72-29, North Butler edged Osage 44-42 and Washington beat Waterloo West 52-43.
In girls basketball: Aplington-Parkersburg handled Wapsie Valley 70-20, Cedar Falls beat Jefferson 81-50, Baxter crushed Don Bosco 52-23, Osage hammered North Butler 64-13, Linn-Mar ran by Waterloo East 62-13 and Cedar Rapids Washington surprised Waterloo West 78-71.
