Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock basketball teams swept New Hampton. The Go-Hawk girls got 24 points from Abbie Draper as they hammered the Chickasaws 64-31. In the boys’ game Hogan Hansen scored 18 points as Waverly-Shell Rock won 70-24. Both Go-Hawk squads are undefeated in Northeast Iowa Conference action.
In other girls basketball action Tuesday night: Dunkerton beat Waterloo Christian 46-26, Riceville edged Janesville 40-35, Cedar Falls crushed Cedar Rapids Jefferson 66-32, Hudson topped Union 44-26, Clarksville ran by Tripoli 64-32, Osage hammered North Butler 69-33, Dike-New Hartford topped Jesup 56-33, Cedar Rapids Kennedy beat Waterloo East 59-38, Waterloo West topped Cedar Rapids Washington 67-47 and Aplington-Parkersburg slammed Wapsie Valley 69-16.
