Tuesday night on Y99.3 Janesville basketball swept Tripoli in Iowa Star Conference play. The Wildcats girls won 54-42 as Briana Baker-Bruce scored 21 points. In the boys game the Wildcats got 21 points from Caden Conrad as they cruised to a 74-39 victory.

Tuesday night on KWAY Country North Butler and Nashua-Plainfield split a Top of Iowa Conference doubleheader. In the girls game the Bearcats led by Madison Klingenborg’s 14 points won handily 58-36 to get their first win of the year. In the boys game the Huskies’ defense dominated and Luke Cerwinske scored 15 points to beat North Butler 56-31.

In other area boys scores: Cedar Falls topped Dubuque Wahlert 70-52, Don Bosco crushed Waterloo 82-38, Waterloo East edged Hempstead 64-63, Sumner-Fredericksburg smashed Union 73-33, Dubuque Senior nipped Waterloo West 59-54, Hudson edged Columbus 40-38, Aplington-Parkersburg clipped Denver 71-64, Dike-New Hartford beat Wapsie Valley 60-45 and Dunkerton beat Clarksville 63-53.

In girls basketball: Hudson beat Columbus 45-34, Sumner-Fredericksburg topped Union 41-30, Don Bosco beat Waterloo Christian 43-30, Waterloo West cruised by Dubuque Senior 59-28, Hempstead beat Waterloo East 68-39, Cedar Falls crushed Dubuque Wahlert 61-38, Dike-New Hartford smashed Wapsie Valley 50-28, Aplington-Parkersburg clipped Denver 48-45 and Clarksville topped Dunkerton 67-31.
